IDEK what you're going on about but if you're complaining about how certain shippers will promote other ships as "endgame" just so that they won't interfere with their OTP I agree that it's kind of annoying. Especially if you ship one of the other ships but don't like it as a convenient part of a series of pairings.

Honestly, I've never really understood the push for Troy/Britta in the Jeff/Annie fandom, especially since I just can't separate Troy from Abed in my mind, and it kind of bugs me that it's just assumed that if you like Jeff/Annie then you automatically like Troy/Britta (and vice versa). But, I know that there are a lot of people who genuinely enjoy when Troy and Britta share a scene together, and both Troy and Britta are very beautiful people, so I do get that part of it, but sometimes it feels like a few of the Jeff/Annie shippers are trying way too hard to push Troy/Britta. But, hey, I'm sure a lot of them don't get why I ship Abed/Troy, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

(My Britta ship is totally Britta/Pierce. THEY ARE THE GREATEST)

I agree that Jeff/Annie fans can get kind of annoying, but if Troy/Britta ever happened on the show I would dissolve into a puddle of happiness, because it'd be adorable. But that goes for a lot of hook-ups that could or couldn't happen. One of the things I love about Community is that the entire group is awesome and there's weird sexual tension pretty much everywhere.

I ship Troy/Britta a lot and my feelings on Jeff/Annie are... eh. It can be cute in the show, but the fandom for it is annoying and I dunno. Jeff and Annie are probably my least favorites in the study group (though I do love them both a lot!) so I have very little investment in their relationship.

But yeah. Some people do like Troy/Britta as it's own thing and not just as a side ship.

Also, while I get Troy/Abed and am down with people interpreting it as romantic and shipping them and doing all that good stuff the truth is that I just don't view their relationship as anything more than a really close friendship. They remind me way too much of me and my bff that the idea of them making out kind of breaks my brain a little.

Well, I agree with you. It seems like so many of them are just trying to make Troy/Britta happen because it will get them out of Jeff/Annie. idk about Jeff/Annie shippers. So many of them seem very...wrapped up in it. I don't really care about ships in Community. I say let kisses fall where they may.

Ooh, apparently I am guilty of a very serious crime. I ship Jeff/Annie and Britta/Troy. Clearly, I'm just trying to get my less preferred characters out of the way so that J/A can happen, right? Wrong. Britta is actually my very favorite character ever and I am not trying to push her aside at all.

I ship Britta/Troy for the same reason I ship Jeff/Annie (and Annie/Abed, Annie/Troy, Britta/Abed, Jeff/Shirley, Britta/Annie, etc) -- because I think it would be ADORABLE. Sorry, it's Community and all I'm looking for is some good dose of funny and adorable.

Also, it seems like you're the one taking shipping too far. You're mad that people like a ship that conflicts with your OTP. Can't some people ship Troy with more than one character? Or maybe they just prefer him and Abed to be best friends?

Some of us legit ship Troy and Britta. It's not just a "get them out of the way for Jeff and Annie" ship, and I really do wish people would stop generalizing it like that.

And while you can argue whether or not a Troy/Britta relationship would WORK, it's pretty obvious that Harmon's put in some very specifically shippy moments (the dance recital, the moment in the spaceship, the "like a hurricane" exchange at the bar, and the "BRITTA?" yelp in the conspiracy episode just to name a few). They may just be teases that won't lead anywhere, but you can't blame people for picking up on them.
