Thor has always been a favorite of mine, too, so I hope this movie does well.

OT: I'm not in a financial situation where I can have dogs right now, but for the longest time, I've wanted to get two and name them Thor and Loki :)

I thought about doing a similar secret. Loki is also one of my favorites Marvel characters. I think the reason why there isn't much fan-fiction is because Thor isn't a popular comic, especially among females. The character and mythology are iconic, but they aren't much read. And though I don't ship Loki/Thor (I don't ship heroes/villains/whatever that much) I think they would be interesting together. Don't worry about the fiction. I'm almost positive they will appear as soon as the film is released, even if . A jealous power-hungry villain fighting against his arrogant heroic foster-brother? And there is so much room for drama. It screams slash fiction, at least for me.

I ship them pretty hard in another version/series, that also has no fandom whatsoever -- so I certainly know how you feel, OP. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Y'know... I've been wanting to give Marvel's version a try for ages now. I was kinda turned off it back in the day when I read Secret Wars, but your secret made me wanna give it a more honest chance. Sooo, anyone feel like reccing me some good issues (preferably with some Tor/Loke interaction)? :D

I haven't read much Thor lately, honestly, but one of the recent arcs was very good, with art by Coipel:


my all time fav though, for Marvel Loki, is the graphic novel done by Robert Rodi and Esad Ribic:



In the arc with gorgeous Coipel art Loki momentarily becomes a woman and works it for all its worth. A homage to the myths, I guess, given who's skin it turns out he's wearing.
