I honestly love creepypasta. I feel that the good ones are one of the few things that can still creep me out while most horror movies leave me feeling unsatisfied.

The only thing in the recent years that creeped me out to the point of nightmares was the original Slenderman thread. I'd watched countless horror films and snoozed through all of them and this single picture thread claiming to be fake even in the title ("Create Paranormal Images with photoshop") spooked me. That's the power of myth through any medium.

If it's any consolation, OP, I've spent the last 3 days expecting the Slender Man to leap out at me from somewhere. *only recently watched Marble Hornets*

Like, seriously expecting. Like, watching the X-files and being more scared of the shots of Canadian woodland than by the actual plot, expecting.
