pfff lol not gonna happen. Harry Potter is pretty much here to stay. Sure, the fandom will die down some, but it isn't going away. This series was with a lot of us for our entire childhoods. It won't be something we'll ever forget. And Harry Potter has an inherent staying power in its universal appeal. The books are appealing on multiple levels. Little kids will find something about it to latch onto, as will young teens, who find something different, older teens and young adults find still something else, and fully grown adults all the way up to people who are towards the ends of their lives find something to latch onto in it.

A similar book series is The Chronicles of Narnia. That series began in 1949, but is beloved by many to this day, enough so that a movie for Voyage of the Dawn Treader just came out. Harry Potter only began in 1997. It's still got a long run ahead of it.
