I don't ship them super hard or anything but they were the most interesting pair for me, and one of the things I found frustrating about the ~rise of Simon/Alisha was that Kelly didn't really have anything to do in s2. I still find it odd how abruptly Nathan/Kelly got dropped, IDK what the point of that whole thing was, was it just to make room for Simon/Alisha or is it going to ever be relevant again, or...?

I really don't ship them very hard at all, but I was baffled too. Especially after all the build up through series 1 and early series 2. I really hope they aren't going to leave it like that.

....I do like Marnie though...

I am not much of a shipper but I liked their interaction a lot, so I guess that counts? lol. But I wouldn't care that they weren't hooking up as long as they still had scenes together being awesome snarky BFFs, but they didn't really in the second half of s2. And Kelly is my favourite, so she felt massively underused to me, and her biggest plot was her sleeping with a gorilla wtf?

But from a story structure perspective I don't get it at all -- why build it up so much and have it go nowhere at all? It's weird. I hope something comes of it.

I liked Marnie too, but I'm wondering what kind of place she would have in the story long-term. A baby would kind of cramp the show's style. We'll see I guess... in a year.

I... didn't care for Marnie. She was cute, but I honestly can't see Nathan raising a kid. And I agree, it really wouldn't fit the show, at all.

I agree. I liked them but wasn't invested - S2 was just kind of puzzling on that front. And I was disappointed in Kelly not having much to do, as well.

I guess it might make some sense if the idea is to show how passing and fragile teenage relationships are. But still, wtf.

Those two give me ~emotions~ more than any other pairing the show. I think I might love Marnie, though. But where does that leave our resident chav queen??

I'm newish to Misfits fandom and haven't seen many people complaining about n/k shippers needing to get over themselves. The few who are vocal about it are generally kind of sweet? Maybe I'm just in the wrong/right places.

Misfits takes such liberties with pairing up and splitting up and adding new people only to have them die or whatEVER, I just don't get why everyone in the fandom hasn't adopted a liberal live and let live multishipper policy and be done with it!

i havent seen that in fandom. Nobody has beaten me down for liking/wanting N/K. Everyone seems pretty ship-accepting to me. *shrugs*

I ship it. I mean, I also hardcore ship Nathan/Simon, but as for actual relevance in the show, I think Nathan and Kelly work really well together. I hope the writers revisit it in series 3.

Aww, I loved that particular scene in your secret. Nathan's dialogue to Kelly was very sweet. :)

And I agree with the commenters above me - it was strange to go from "sometimes I think I fookin' love ya" in one episode (granted she was a bit high) to "I think of you more as a cousin" in the next. What kind of a transition is that? Anyway, I love their interactions together so I hope that at least continues.

I thought it was the pills though that forced her to tell the truth? If she hadn't taken them (same with the others and the various side effects they faced), she probably would have never said those things to Nathan. Well at least not in the club at that time.

Yeah, it was the pills, but I'm just saying that that means it's even more illogical to go from 'I love yah' to 'lol, cousinssssss', because she was definitely telling the truth.

Also I think that they're story is far from over. We were given so many little moments of them after that cousins comment. I think it's going to come down that Nathan shows he's really there for her and they'll have that it moment that needs to happen.

Right now they're not right for each other.

I can't ship anything in this show unless you count friendshipping everyone hard. And Simon/Alisha really bothers me because future!Simon is a meddlesome dick. I just prefer seeing them as an adorable group of vulgar bffs.

But with N/K, I'm okay with people complaining about how the idea of it got brushed off in canon. I wouldn't mind if it did become canon too. "Get over it" is pretty dismissive, and it cuts off discussion I think.
