I would assume the entry is marked as Private or filtered and then made public after all the name-the-fandom/etc posts are made.

DA I thought that too, but I track F!S's entries. So, even for a private entry, I'd get an email, I would think. I do get an email every day, but whenever I click the link to the entry, it says it doesn't exist.

There have also been times when I would literally just get the email, I'd click the link inside it, the entry apparently does not exist, then I'd go to F!S myself and the entry is there and ready for all to read, filled with fscom's comments.

F!S, you sneaky bastards.

Actually if I make the post private, you don't get notified. So yeah, I make a private entry then post all the comments.

- make private post
- do comments
- edit private post to be public (no notification)
- make new empty post full of keysmash (to give everyone notifs)
- delete new empty post, leave secret post

Dude, I honestly thought it was an automated thing.

That explains why the entry suddenly appears below others when it wasn't there before on my friends' list...

I WISH, HAHAHA but yeah, that's why there are errors in the comments and stuff sometimes, or people see empty posts full of "arjhgdkfjg" which are just to send the notifs out
