I guess if it makes you happy it makes you happy but there are other ways you can feel part of the fandom/community/friendship group than doing the same things they do.
For example in the Skurt/Kum section of Glee fandom, you have shiphassailed, who is like my fandomspiration and is awesome. She doesn't write fic or draw art or do the same things her tumblr-list (I don't know, dash?) do but she still very much belongs in the fandom.
So maybe it would better to carve a space for yourself by doing the things you love, instead of doing things you don't want to do.
