I think I get where you're coming from, anon. I don't like drama in my relationships, and they tend to be really comfortable kind. Like watching movies together with ice cream. It's great, but it's not what I'd term exciting. What I love about it is that it's not exciting, that it's reliable and stable and familiar and all the good things that come with that.

Meanwhile in RP, exploring the dramatic soap-opera storylines is fun for me. And to have characters do things that it's not possible for regular people to do like the opposing secret agents idea, hahahaha. I find a good book or movie more exciting than evenings at home with a loved one, but if I had to pick one or the other to lose forever, I'd keep the latter. =)

Yes, exactly, thank you! Fiction is almost always more exciting than real life, and I guess the point I failed to make clearly is that the two really can't be compared.
