Rec meme! You ask for recs, and others provide (or fill!).

Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either. Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

Anything else? Details? fuck, WHY IS THIS PAIRING SO OBSCURE, I'm going crazy. the handful of fanworks I've found/gone through is mostly terrible.

it is, it is. it's all pana's fault, she converted me something awful. showed me all the subtle canon clues that Shikamaru has a big mancrush for Naruto and I just spiraled from there...

OH MAN. Ugh, I haven't been in Naruto fandom in forever so my resource base is not so good, now. Have you checked the ShikaNaru search engine (http://www3.to/sikanaru/)? I... I have no idea if it contains any gems but FINGERS CROSSED? I remember Ende (http://ebikou.fc2web.com/ending.htm) had some good ShikaNaru fanart. The site hasn't been updated in years, though.

I'm sure this was mostly unhelpful, lol.

Oh man, there was some excellent fanart a while back. It was on a Japanese fansite, and I'll do my best to track it down. It'll be a long shot tho :`(
