Rec meme! You ask for recs, and others provide (or fill!).
Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.
Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either. Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

Seriously, though, I'm just glad I've actually found ANY fans or fanfiction for this (because of the creep factor). FF.net has its own tacit King (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/742507/) and Queen (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/516494/) of the ship, in terms of fannishness and writing it. (And one of them is on LiveJournal (http://auri-mynonys.livejournal.com/), too.)

P.S. Lord of the Rings: I have wanted varyingly to get into it (the books, films, the fandom) for a loooooong time. Now I have more incentive...BUT HOW SHALL I MOTIVATE MYSELF FURTHER?? By shipping, I suppose.
