PANFANDOM REC MEME

"I ship it!"
"I want fic!"
"I want art!"
"I don't care what it is, but I want it!"
"Where's the fandom?"

Rec meme! You ask for recs, and others provide (or fill!).

Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either. Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

OBLIGATORY TEXTBOX (optional, dont worry):

What made you laugh?
What made you cry?

Lol, I'm fairly sure that, had I considered myself an active member over there, I still would have found myself kinda offended, despite the "no offense" thing. As it happens, though, I'm not ([livejournal.com profile] wl_fanfiction is my preferred place when it comes to the WL fandom) and I really can see how you'd make that assessment about a lot of the stuff posted over at [livejournal.com profile] wliialove. I wouldn't say it's all bad or anything -- I've found at least some worthwhile, or at least entertaining, fanworks there -- but... Yeah. Objectively, I do see your point of view.

But, the people are nice, and at least they try, you know? :) It's not like anyone gets paid to participate in fandom, and people create because they love creating, regardless of whether they're great or not so great at it. Of course, if one's simply looking for great fanart, as you probably were... Yeah, I don't know. Maybe I didn't manage to point you in the right direction at all (my apologies -- I thought it was worth a try anyway), but really, I couldn't think of any other place one might try looking.

Also, as someone who also has the most TERRIBLE Photoshop skills... Photoshop doesn't come easy to everyone. Unfortunately. But what's one supposed to do? Learning to use it properly seriously takes a while. I, for example, I'm fully aware that the header of my own journal is REALLY badly made (seriously,
no graphics skills at all here) but what am I supposed to do, put in a boring black square? :P

Finally... Thanks for keeping it decent and friendly, despite of that rec totally not working out for you. :) I for one think it's nice to get the chance to simply exchange views and to discuss things in a mature manner, with no flaming or bashing or trolling or whatever. :)
