Which I suspect is not what her intention was.

I always read it like "lunnnn.... zaaaay"

This admittedly might be because i'm a Native German speaker who is just generally confused by English spelling and even more confused by special snowflake spelling

Yeah, same here. In Canada we pronounce it "zed", not "zee", so it looks extra-silly to me. Plus, I just dislike weird spellings like that... like La-a. Fuck everything about La-a.
