(Anonymous) 2011-01-09 04:51 am (UTC)(link)published fiction doesn't get warnings, no. but it does get reviews, it has blurbs. people who don't want spoilers are not spoiled by picking up a book. people who would like to be spoiled can easily look it up before purchasing.
they are given no such option when authors don't include simple warnings.
and fanfiction is not like published fiction, no matter how much YOU may want it to be.
