Though I feel the need to briefly take this seriously: Some secrets are not limited to "lol i liek this." Some are... legitimately shameful or just private to the people who post them, and yeah, can affect their relationships in fandom or IRL, or just... make them feel embarrassed, while not being serious or anything, which would make them want to keep it a secret. I have a lot of silly fandom secrets that wouldn't hurt me if they got out, but I consider pretty ridiculous and don't really want to share.

But, yes, like you just demonstrated, lately most of the secrets have just been a platform to air their opinions on a big forum.

And I don't usually do this, but I'm curious: If you really don't care about people knowing who you are, de-anon in the comments? You will look like less of a hypocrite.
