Oh, I have a friend who is 30 and has had severe period problems since she was 17 or 18; she even had to have a bunch of fibroids removed from her uterus two years ago - but because she has no children, no doctor she's consulted will take it out. (It should be noted she doesn't want children and has said for the past 12 years she doesn't; I believe her.)
