This. I just in general can't get into the "child hero" thing anymore. I feel too old and silly to do more than enjoy it as source material. (Fandom? Nah.)

Oops, that's pretty much what I meant. The child hero works fine for Avatar, anyway-- it makes sense. I'm not so much into child heroes who are for some reason swordsmasters, though. (And so on.)

But yeah, I pretty much meant their love lives are what I don't care about (and by extension, fandom, since...I am a shipper).

That happens to me with that series, too. I think I was just content with the amount of romance in it already that whenever I tried to read fic for it, it just seemed weird. Age of the characters could be a factor for you, I guess. Definitely shouldn't be one for me though. :prances back into the South Park fandom:
