RE5 = decent game, but a TERRIBLE Resident Evil title. They should of shoehorned original characters in there to...

Come now, setting aside character derailment issues, his RE5 voice was freaking amazing and wonderful.

Ehh. I didn't like it. There was nothing wrong with the voice itself. It just didn't fit Wesker imo. It was too stereotypically evil. He went from smarmy British asshole to EVIIIIIIIL British asshole.

To be fair, DC Douglas was asked to really lay on the 'evil' side of things for RE5. He also did Wesker's voice for Umbrella Chronicles and he was much more relaxed and 'smarmy'. But Capcom wanted him to go a little... crazed at the end of RE5, hence the evilness.

There's only so many ways to go with this sort of character when you want to end their reign: either they disappear mysteriously and profit off their evil forever and leave their enemies tormented and wondering, or they go out with a horrifying bang. Considering he O.D.'d on his superdouche shots, turned himself into an Eldritch Abomination, fell into a volcano and then took two rockets to the head, I'd say they gave him a ridiculous enough note to go out on. But, I think they needed more buildup to him losing his marbles. I mean, he spent 10 years trolling everyone and then inexplicably tried to play all his cards at once in the latter half of the game.
