Meh.

I remember liking her at first, until I discovered the real person behind her 'cute' persona. Also her way of drawing all the characters as moeblobs with horrible soul-less eyes was creepy as hell, creepier than any fanart that actually aimed to be creepy ever was. I'm glad to hear she's moved on, she could be ridiculously unfair and mean to those who didn't see things her way or do as she wanted.

Yeah, I remember playing that dating game thing that she made and being like "WOOOO CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE TIME, WHAT NOVELTY VALUE" but then when I followed it back to her blog... eeeehhhhh...

And there were much better fanartists in the fandom anyway...

Death Note had some amazing fanart when it was active, it always vexed me that she got more recognition than many of the other talented artists out there. I always remember her art as being very flat and commonplace in terms of style. I don't know if she's improved since then but yeah, there wasn't much unique about it.

Exactly! Her style felt very generic; there wasn't much that was unique about it, and it lacked a lot technically (her figures looked very stiff overall, etc.) And then meanwhile there were so many really superb artists with zero fan recognition and that's just... kind of bothering.

The game was entertaining, and the amount of work and effort she put into it definately shouldn't be downplayed. Doesn't change the fact that her art was nothing remarkable though.

But that was never true.
She even liked the pairing a bit, just not as much as Mello and Near.
