Consistent with what? If they were being consistent, there wouldn't be a different universe at all. I mean, if your one of those people who just hates the Ultimate universe, fine, that's your opinion too. But if your only problem is that they changed this particular thing, and not that they made Wolverine a former associate of Magneto's, or put the Brotherhood on Genosha from the get-go, or decided that Jean was in a nuthouse hearing voices before the Professor found her instead of living in a comfy home with her family...I dunno that the argument for "consistency" holds any water. Again, you could just plain have a problem with switching around races and orientations, but if your problem with that is because it's not consistent with a universe that it's not part of, then maybe Ultimate Universe just isn't for you.
