And that mindset (the one you're afraid of, not yours, OP) is why I just avoid musical fandom altogether. Though I do love a lot of Sondheim (not WSS, though). But yeah, I know my favs aren't really anything to shout to the fandom. I'll just quietly enjoy them on my own.
