But what about the things leading up to that? The genocide didn't begin until Hitler had been in power for a number of years. If someone notices that a particular regime is doing the sorts of things that Hitler did early on in order to secure power and stir up nationalist hatred, then are they not allowed to bring up the similarities until it escalates (at which point, of course, it would be too late)?
