I guess we have to disagree here. Frankly I find three-dimensional people disgusting whether they are skinny or fat, and deep down in their depthy selves I think they understand that they are less valuable humans than two-dimensional people like me. However much they might want to have fun and celebrate characters they enjoy, they should understand that appearing in public is simply inconsiderate! Think of the emotional agony I go through every time I visually witness their bulky extra axis. That is not attractive. That is not healthy. Honestly it is unfair to me and others who find those 3D cosplayers revolting. Shouldn't my standards of beauty determine who is worthy to enter my line of sight? I don't think that's so much to ask.
