I like X-2, but for some reason I have the feeling that Squeenix put the "ending" to XIII in that teaser as some kind of admittance that not a lot of people made it to the end, thus they had to show how the story resolved so we'd be in the know.

Probably wrong, but why else did they put it there?!

I haven't even started FFXIII and I'm excited about the sequel. Moreso than for XIII itself.

I liked X-2's battle system, but the rest was campy as hell. Then it just got suddenly dark.

There's no signs of J-Pop, karaoke or any of those things yet, and we know so little, there's still lots of potential. ;)

Have they actually revealed anything about the gameplay yet?

My complete disinterest in XIII is mostly because I want exploration, not corridors and cutscenes. I'd be willing to give it a shot if I can actually wander around and find secret areas and shit again instead of just running down a tube for twenty hours straight, though.

Especially since now Square have confirmed it won't be all "J-pop and comedic" like X-2, but actually darker and more mysterious. Yeah, go Empire Strikes Back on that baby!

I am so excited for XIII-2. I have the highest of high hopes and if they get crushed, so be it, but you can't bring me down now, whoo!

I'm looking forward to XIII-2. Then again I'm that rare special breed of person who thinks XIII was fine the way it was too. So to each their own.

FFX-2, as a game, was definitely not the best thing I've ever played. BUT - I still liked it for what it was.

I think FFXIII-2 is going to be pretty different from FFX-2, so I'm sort of looking forward to seeing what it's going to be like. ...And I just really like Lightning, so. :3c I want more of her.

It was the battle system I disliked (if I can't control two-thirds of my party, at least let me adjust their AI!), but not enough to not finish the game. I'm really looking forward to this - Sazh is one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters ever.

I have to admit, I'm kind of nervous about this game. If they end up pairing Fang and Vanille up with other people, or if they pair Lightning off at all, I'm gonna be pissed. However, I'd be willing to forgive a lot if there's a bigger focus on Sazh this time around. And also if Hope and/or Snow die.

I am looking forward to it!

... I am also cringing at Light's new outfit.

I just. That feathery thing and the big armour doesn't do it for me, not on her. I just don't think it suits her personality at all, for all that it looks cool. :|

No way are you the only one! I, for one, am incredibly pumped for this game. It feels like it's going to be exactly what I want out of a sequel (moar on Etro/the mythology, moar Lightning, moar mystery) so everything so far is a big YES from me.

And that, as they say, is that.

I'M EXCITED!

Squeenix doesn't have a good track record with continuations, so I'll reserve judgement til it's out, but in general I think this is a good idea. XIII had a lot of potential that wasn't realized.

I am PSYCHED for XIII-2 - gimme gimme GIMME (and for the record? Lightning in that Valkyrie-looking armor is HOT). Also loved X-2. Yeah, it was camp and fluff for the first two chapters or so, but then it got good. And my not-so-inner shipper was flailing all over at the good end. ♥

In short: Anon is SO not alone.

I'm excited about XIII-2, too. I really liked the the original game.

I'm cautiously optimistic about it, though Lightning's armor thing looks kinda...weird, in that somewhat futuristic setting(mostly I'm just bothered by the exposed flesh at her upper legs. What do you have against pants or covering armor on female characters, Nomura??). I also hope Sazh will play a big part in the game.
