This is exactly how I feel. Their whole bromance is forced down our throats. The guy who plays Steve is wooden, and the guy who plays Danny is unattractive (IMHO) and extremely annoying. I've stopped watching the show because of him.

But, as always, to each his own, lol.

By any chance are you the anon that posted to the H-50 Anon meme, about being annoyed at the writers seeming like they were trying to force slashy subtext into the Steve/Danno scenes - because if you were, I totally agree with you. I get into slash pairings, in part, because I'm not being told what to think, and feel about the characters - having the subtext waved under my nose like 'OMG Everyone Notice This! Look, They're Having A Bromance!' just bugs me no end.

The guy who plays Steve is actually a LOT better than the show is giving him credit for. Some of his other work, where he's done a lot more character based stuff (like in the movie Feed, and Criminal Minds' Episode 'The Big Wheel'), is streets ahead of what he's doing on H50. His work as Mick St John in Moonlight was also a far cry from the mediocrity we're seeing with H50. It's actually really disappointing to see. I would have hoped he might have stuck to more independent, quirky and dark type roles, real character stuff where his strengths lie, instead of doing the whole 'Action Hero/Leading Man' schtick, that just makes him look average at best. Trouble is, that's not what the fans seem to want, I know some people actually refused to watch his performance in Criminal Minds because, 'Ewww, they're making Alex ugly' *rolls eyes* Seriously, WTF? That was probably one of his best performances.

Ditto on your assessment of Danno as well, Scott Caan does nothing for me looks wise (neither does Alex to be honest), and his Danno character just grates on my nerves. If I never have to sit through another one of their 'carguments' it'll be too soon.

YMMV on this of course, obviously there are people who love the show, but it just isn't doing it for me.

Nope, not from the anon meme(didn't know there was one, lol), but we do seem to have similar views about the show.

I've never seen Moonlight because I don't like vampires, but I saw Alex on Three Rivers and I must say he had the same wooden acting in that show as well.

I wish I could jump on the bromance bandwagon for H5O but it doesn't appeal to me at all.

Oh Three Rivers was dreadful. I'm involved in fan-based charity work on behalf of Donate Life (the charity Alex is a spokesperson/ambassador for), so I was trying so very, very hard to like the show, and give it a proper chance. But Oh God, it was bad - so very, very bad.

I'm a huge fan of Vampires, so naturally I took to Moonlight like the proverbial duck to water. Moonlight was my first, and remains my only, Fandom. When H-50 was first announced, my first thought was pretty much 'crap; a role where Alex will be relegated to the position of shirtless hunk, he can do better than that'. Then I started hearing more about the show, and seeing some of the promotional stuff, and then I was like *interested fan is interested* 'Ooh, look, a shiny new Fandom to play in'. After the first few episodes though, once the newness had worn off, I pretty much lost interest all together - the 'Bromance' in particular just wasn't happening for me, at all.

Scott Caan is as fit as fuck! Then again I've crushed siiiiiince... um... Ocean's Eleven maybe? So ten years. But each to their own.
