And that's the problem. If the OP wanted to try and get someone more, uh what's a good term, higher-brow? Fuck me I don't know, you get my meaning though? Anyway if the OP wanted that they would have picked a game that didn't have the kind of insane mass-market appeal that Portal inexplicably does.

It would be nice if Portal had mass-market appeal because it was a polished, original, humorous game with a good concept, fun gameplay and a very good approach to player training. In reality it has mass-market appeal because it's by Valve, short enough that probably everyone can finish it, and it has a line you can quote to try and make yourself sound like you have a sense of humour.

Yeah, I guess that's why my mind just jumped to "well, they're just trying to suggest something with mass appeal because they're into Nintendo" too. Oh well.
