Uh? The same things that your taste in books, TV shows, or music show about you. One person who loves Postal 2 and another who loves Grim Fandango probably aren't going to get along as well as two people who like the same types of games. In that example it shows a fundamental difference in the type of humour those people like. They aren't by any means mutually exclusive, but if you think that it shows nothing at all then I can't agree in the slightest.

Haha okay, first of all, patronising me isn't going to make me agree with you any more! I tried to show that it's not the difference in games that makes them not get along well, but the difference in SENSE OF HUMOUR, which is a slightly larger concern - for me, at least. The things you like are determined by your personality (and vice versa to some extent), so it seems very evident to me that you can tell some parts of a person's personality from their likes and dislikes.
