KIDDING ASIDE... it is weird. It seems... not intimate, but almost the opposite? Like you're trying to make yourself special by calling them something else (like called House 'Greg' or something), and in the end you just sound completely uneducated and not at all like a fan of what you're watching.
It doesn't bother me, really, but I could see how it would in bigger fandoms.
