Oh, well done, OP. I love Ivalice and now I get to sit here and read comments about how terrible video games about politics are. My Tactics Ogre preorder wasn't in today either, so congratulations, you've made my vaguely frustrating day less vague!

(Though really, when was the last time a Final Fantasy game didn't end up suffering due to key staff members leaving in the middle of making it, or "wow we cut out so much stuff we could make a whole other game!" or because it's FFXIV?)

I think only one person said that they didn't like games about politics. I like games about politics too (and books about politics. and space dramas about politics), but uh. If this is making your day suck you gotta chill out.

Just an example, I'm not as unchill as plaintext might make it seem. It is kind of annoying when someone makes a secret for something you like in such a way that you can't even just breeze through with a casual, supportive, fandom love comment though.

FFXII was actually what turned me on to political intrigue in fantasy! Even if I didn't "get it" on my initial playthrough. (Which probably means I don't live up to the secret OP's standards for intelligence. Oh well.)
