Oh hey, no worries. To me, it's pretty much clear-as-day as to why one character would be more sympathetic than the other.

Although I would argue that Harry ultimately forgives both parties. He does end up visiting Dudley as an adult, after all.

You're right, it isn't it the books. It's something that Rowling mentioned on her website.
