Wasn't nice about it? He was abusive about it. It wasn't physical like what the Dursleys did, but it was still abuse.

And Petunia did have to be pushed sometimes, but so did Snape. Snape wouldn't have protected Harry in the first place if it wasn't for Dumbledore. Yet they both continued to protect Harry even after Dumbledore's death because, despite everything, they didn't want him to die.

I don't really forgive either of them honestly.

Snape never married Vernon Dursley though. I'm sorry, I just find little merit in that.

Maybe he didn't marry Vernon, but he willingly worked for Voldemort, someone who is, imo, even worse. He probably did things just as bad as Vernon himself as a Death Eater, if not worse.

Yeah but he left Voldemort and betrayed him to his most hated enemy. Petunia never left Vernon. Although at some point she probably should have.

He only left Voldemort because of Lily and Dumbledore. Lily and Dumbledore, as far as we know, never asked Petunia to leave Vernon.

Maybe, maybe not. We never really find out. I think Lily would definitely want her to leave Vernon, but I don't know how much they actually spoke to each other after their fall out.
