"A two hour trip is normal for a job..." Actually, hearing about people who drive this far for a job always makes me die a little bit inside. It's sooo unhealthy! (for your body, relationships, etc.) Like, I get that times are tough and you gotta do what you gotta do...but I can't help but feel that if you drive any where near this far for a job, something must be *wrong*. Like, there's no way you can move closer? Is your spouse that selfish?? (sorry, that's just what runs through my mind.)

As far as Kurt goes, I'll admit that the time issue is not the MOST plausible / convenient. But if he takes a train or a bus (rather than driving himself), that would actually be a great time to do homework. And really, he could sleep in the morning. (both of these points are made from experience)

Either way (job, college, or high school), the first thing I thought when I saw this secret was "This is the Midwest! People DRIVE here, bitches!!!!" For better or worse, Midwesterners commute like motherfuckers for jobs, shopping, school, and whatnot.

Trains would be nice, except to get anywhere in Ohio it's by car or bus for central Ohio. We don't have a train though I for one would love one

But as for jobs it really depends- school districts play a huge part of it for parents. Sometimes housing is cheaper further away, like LA and NYC. Also moving and selling a house take a lot of time and energy even with realistate agents
