I heard this has a big deal to do with the fact she was based on the woman playing her in the Life-Action sequences; Amy Adams. If they wanted to make Giselle a Disney Princess, they would have to pay for life-long rights to use her image. At least that's what I got out of the whole deal. I'm not really an expert on these sort of things.

So that's why not. Legal Issues.

He's Random Hajile from Snatcher, an old adventure game with a cult fanbase. He is a bounty hunter who rides a one-wheeled motorcycle and shoots cyborgs with a laser. His surname is 'Elijah' backwards. It's a plot point.

...wha? you can name a kid after whoever you want and not be a bad member of your religion. Catholics naming their kid a saint's name after a character instead of the saint wouldn't make them bad Catholics. Besides, why can't he be named after both? imo the prophet Elijah was pretty badass himself though

Mm, double duty is great. My own name is both a reference to the circumstances of my birth, and a reference to a character from a British sitcom, and I'm happy with both meanings.
