I didn't have a problem with it, but I can see why you would. Yeah, it was immature for them to go there, but they can get pretty immature, like their showdown with the high school kids. The instance in the latest episode was more spontaneous, but I think it didn't think it was funny, it did a good job of maintaining their dynamic.

they have that "look at me, i'm so enlightened and progressive and witty~" thing going on, but that whole exchange was basically saying "LOL NOT REALLY U GUIZ". it was hilarious.

i saw it as more of a 'take that' to jeff and britta's alleged 'maturity' than a genuine "hahaha making fun of gay people is really funny".

(also, i love shirley's character. she's offensive in a more subtle way and tbh, she's really not always put in that good of a light. plus it's glaringly obvious that she really does try to be more open-minded. would she be more liked if she wasn't a ~~~~jesus freak~~~~ u guiz.)
