I'm getting tired of f!secrets making this fandom sound like one of the worst that's out there when I've found it to be one of the nicest :/

I agree wholeheartedly with this comment.

Sure, I don't ship Spock/Uhura, but that's only because I saw no backing for the pairing whatsoever in TOS. They had their 'moments', but there is so much more reinforcement for Kirk/Spock, Spock/McCoy, and Spock/Chapel. Hell, Scotty/Uhura is canon and I am in love with that pairing.

So, to call all, or most, K/S shippers misogynists is illogical.

Find more mature friends.

Yes, and coincidentally it gets Uhura nice and back on the sidelines and out of the Important Character Tier meant for Kirk, Spock, and McCoy.

I'm not accusing you of double-standardly-judging nu!Uhura (although frankly I suspect the chances are that you indeed do). I'm saying it's pretty hilarious to claim you CAN'T POSSIBLY DO SO because you ~ship adorable Scotty/Uhura~ and/or love BAMFy TOS!Uhura OMG so classy and BAMF, which is claimed by

every asshole double-standardizing K/Ser

EVER.

Also, Scotty/Uhura is not fucking canon. (1) It was an intensely strange and abrupt moment orchestrated by Shatner that was never followed up upon ever again. (2) It was The Final Frontier, everything in it is to be ignored.

How is The Final Frontier less canon than the Reboot movie? It doesn't stop being canon just because it kind of sucked, or the space hippies episode of TOS would have magically ceased to exist (if only). Scotty/Uhura happened in one Trek movie in one timeline. Spock/Uhura happened in another Trek movie in a different one. Fans can, shockingly, prefer one over the other without being evil personified who are only doing it for the evil, evil reason of shipping a pairing you hate just to persecute you.
