In the anime, I was impressed with Usagi's strength when everyone around her dies yet she carries on. There's also how she died in the manga version, which I do not like, that connects to the climax of the manga as well. The whole manga just goes too quick. I still feel emotion. But if I had never heard of Sailor Moon, and just read the manga first, I wouldn't be nearly as moved.
