I'm sick of people that are naive enough to think Six Apart gives a shit about fandom. Yeah, I know the apology isn't genuine, but it's the best we're going to get and be happy they aren't doing some shit like suspending all smut journals because they allow underage users.

True, true. But fandom is acting like it's all about them and LJ is out for fandom's blood. That isn't true, it could have easily been against a marijuana comm, or a BitTorrent comm, or whatever. If people framed it as 'paid accounts are being suspended because of advertiser pressure' and not 'paid accounts are being suspended because LJ hates incest fic' I wouldn't be scoffing at them so much.

"Fandom" isn't acting like anything, because "fandom" is not a hive vagina or whatever the hell the term is.

People are responding differently. The majority, as I've seen it, in the protests are customers irritated and concerned that the product they are paying for have suddenly come with unsavory strings attached. And shitty service.
