Both sides were being fucking stupid. I was on fandom's side, but I cringed in embarrassment every time someone C&Ped that song from AWE in protest. Because clearly, the best way to take a stand against an evil and uncaring corporation is to use a song from a movie that was made by an evil and uncaring corporation as your rallying cry.

Haha, guys, the LJ/6A/WFI people are giant douches, but this incident is in no way comparable to the Holocaust, 1984, or Fahrenheit 451.

As I believe it has been mentioned elsewhere (possibly fandom wank) there is a lot of irony invovled with the fandom supporters "singing" that particular song considering the singers all got hung in the end =x;;;
Still, both sides of the arguement has made me terribly embarrassed myself. I'll be happy when it's all swept away, to be honest.
