I never understand why people go to such lengths for appearance's sake, for something so minor!

NO ONE ELSE will care if you can't get into more than one fandom, I promise. I doubt anyone even notices what you're doing with the bookmarks, either.

Yeah, you know, no one cares that you're only in one fandom. I was only in one fandom for a really long time. More recently I've been able to be in two fandoms at once, but they weren't both on FIRE at the same time.

I mean, it's a little sad that you don't really care about your old fandoms anymore? But that happens to all of us. Don't pretend. It's more annoying to the people in the fandom you've left to see you pretending, I think, than to see you just go when the passion dies.

I never realized being in one fandom at a time was something to be ashamed of. I get bored easily and have never managed to stay interested in a fandom for more than six months at (Only exceptions were Prince Of Tennis and Hetalia) which is why I lurk so much. It is seldom I'm in more than one fandom, but is that really so bad? Who notices? Who notices and actually cares? Don't worry, it's fine. Don't feel guilty, because being in only one fandom does not make you a shallow ass.

Yeah, joining the "nobody's gonna care" chorus. (Which is the opposite of a Greek chorus; instead of commenting on your every action, it just sits there and ignores you while humming tunelessly.) And if anyone does care how many fandoms you're into? That person is shallow. Or stupid...or something, I dunno.

Why does it matter if you're only into one fandom at a time?
I'm interested in a number of fandoms, but I normally only focus on one at a time. I go through phases and I've never considered that to be a bad thing.

So you're reccing fics that could be absolute crap on the off chance that someone will think you're weird for being invested in a single fandom?

...Well, that's an irritating habit.

Okay, yes, it's hardly serial axe murder, but recs are supposed to be for fics that at least one person on the internet has looked at and found acceptable. Not even reading them defeats the purpose of reccing things in the first place. I mean, really.

Hmmm...I've never seen being involved in one fandom at a time as shallow or something to be ashamed of at all. I'm pretty much a serial monogamist for the most part when it comes to fandom, and the only problem I've had with it is that it makes some fic challenges and exchanges a little more challenging.

Seriously, though, how does being deeply into one thing as opposed to being slightly into many things make you shallow? That seems backwards...
