I wouldn't call it selfish for people to want the story to go in the way that they want. I mean, they can't be selfish against House himself because he's not real so they don't have to think about anything but their enjoyment. (Though it does seem kind of funny to talk about being selfish for not caring about House being happy--I don't watch the show, but doesn't House make a big point about not caring about anybody else being happy?)

Exactly what I was going to say. I can see saying this about rpf/shipping--please, person in the world, make your life decisions in a manner that is most entertaining to me--but House exists purely to entertain us. He's not real. Wanting the story to end the way you want it to isn't selfish. Rather, it's the writer's job to make the story ending feel satisfying and organic. But that horse has kind of left the barn on this show.

I ship House with Wilson because Wilson is the only person who accepts him for who he really is, no matter what. They always look so relaxed/comfortable around each other. I'm not saying he wasn't happy with Cuddy, but he was trying way too hard to change who he was for her
