I like how in troll culture Kanaya's female preference isn't a big deal. For them, they don't even have a word for homosexual or heterosexual. I'd like to think Kanaya would think the concept would be just as stupid as Karkat did when John brought it up. If one of the trolls saw themselves paired with someone they weren't interested in on Nepeta's shipping wall, I imagine they'd react by saying they weren't interested. Same for Kanaya is not paired with a female (and I bet if it was a feminine guy, Kanaya would be 0k with it).

I'd wager 70% of the pairs for John are either Dave or Karkat. And he's a confirmed hetero. And goodness gracious, please don't anyone bring up "he's only 13 and isn't aware of his sexuality." Kanaya is 13 years old too (or six sweeps. They mean the same things, folks). Shipping is shipping. Get over Kanaya/male shipping. I think it's better to treat everyone the same regardless.
