GOD, this is so predictable. WOEBETIDE ANYONE DOESN'T LOVE THE MENZ.

There is nothing wrong by not sharing the throbbing dick-fetish that most of fandom seems to subscribe to these days. There's nothing wrong with just not finding m/m so disturbingly titillating as so many straight women do. There's nothing wrong with you if you DON'T fetishize gay men. It's fine.

If you think that women are inherently more romantic and less capable of being sexual then men are, though - grow up and get our more. Meet some ladies.

I think you might have had a tad bit of an overreaction there, but I agree with you, more or less. Any other genre in fanfiction, someone says they don't like it, there really aren't people going "Oh, but you must try this!" Maybe it's because it spans standard genres beyond romance?

HA HA THIS.

I think what most people were worried about was the implication that OP might think real life gay men are only in it for the sex. I'm not saying I did, but that opinion is shared by way too many bigots.

Fetishizing gay women in all their tender sexlessness, however, if perfectly acceptable.

Cool but that commenter didn't say that fetishizing gay men ISN'T okay, just that it's okay not to like it.

There's nothing wrong with just not finding m/m so disturbingly titillating as so many straight women do.

While most (most, not all) m/m writers and readers are indeed women, most (not all) of them also identify as not-straight (bi/lesbian/asexual/other). I recently read that on someone's DW journal (unfortunately I lost the link to the post). They'd found several online polls on the subject and the overall result of those was exactly what I just said. Depending on the poll, the percentage of not-straight fans was between 30 and 80, and usually over 50.

In conclusion: while straight women also write and read m/m, most of the fans are not straight.

Not that it's any of your business what a women, staright or not, finds hot.
