It reminds me of this one show (anime) I used to watch MANY years ago on a tv channel that doesn't even exist any more, or at least I haven't been able to tune it for a long time. I don't even remember the name of it, but it had mechas and a guy with blue hair that dies midway through.

I'd love to read fic, but as it is, knowing the name of it would be a start. ;(

Oh man, I loved watching that show when it came on late at night mostly for the music they had. I also like the partner mechanic/pilot team.

I tried to find some episodes online but it's hard to. Boo. =(

I need to go dig the manga out of one of my book boxes for a reread. I'm pretty surprised that a series that didn't do well in America and very few people even remember had the manga licensed and translated.

Did you get the whole series? I remember seeing a few books of it in stores but it's pretty rare. I read a few chapters online but I'm not sure if it's even online anymore.

I'm surprised it didn't do well in America either, but I think Eureka 7 was running at the same time so maybe it got higher ratings than Candidate and that's why they dropped it. I wish Sci-Fi would show it since they're showing Gurren Lagen, I think it'd do well on Sci-Fi.

Oh fuck, I had a fic all planned out for CoG - connecting all the dots, dotting all 'i's and crossing all 't's. All secrets and mysteries left when the show stopped explained. I even brought back to live that blonde guy who died (the one who piloted the green Goddess, I think. You know, who had the Ho Yay with the green haired dude who piloted the blue Goddess? I brought him back for the Ho Yay).

I never wrote it and I completely forgot about it. I didn't even take frigging notes to remind myself of the plot points. I don't know anything about this fic anymore other than that I had managed to come up with something that tied in perfectly with the show and was plausible in the shows universe. Why didn't I take notes? This is going to annoy be for a long time, now. D:
