I just scroll past anything containing her in a hetero situation :P Now, if her + het stuff were to happen in canon, that would sadden me. Whether they're called lesbian or bi, it's rare to find a female character that's exclusively into women.

With fic, as long as I get the vibe that the shippers are doing it out of a love for the character chemistry, and not to fix her, I don't care that much. Fanfic is for happy fun times! At the same time, it's really obtuse of people to say it's the exact same thing as when a straight character is made gay in fic.

This exactly. Pairings in fandom are a whole different kettle of fish from those in canon, and I hate that homophobia is often assumed if fans have het pairing for gay characters. Shipping something does not mean you want that character's sexuality to canonically change.

At the same time, it's really obtuse of people to say it's the exact same thing as when a straight character is made gay in fic.
