I totally feel you on this, OP. My original childhood fandom is tiny (and it ceased existence for a long time until I posted my first fic for it last year). I really hemmed and hawwed about whether I wanted to find other fans for the show, but ultimately I did - I felt stupid squeeing about it to people who didn't care (aka, my other fandom friends). I was so happy when I found another fan who remembered the show and understood that rush of nostalgia!

It's still a small fandom, and we have had more than our fair share of the crazycakes, but its pretty easy to avoid them, believe it or not. I'd definitely say, give it a try! You never know who you might meet =)

I don't think the fandom for this show ever even existed. Even when it was really popular, there wasn't much fanart or fanfics or anything like that. It didn't air for very long either (although it did air in many countries), so there weren't many fans even then. Finding them would be a miracle by now. I could always try to find, them, though... I just don't know where to look XD

Glad you could find other fans for your fandom, though :)

The fandom I'm talking about is for a show that aired 25 years ago, before the internet was born, LOL. The only reason there is any evidence of its existence is because one of the original cast members became incredibly famous. Before that? I seriously thought I'd dreamed this show up, LOL. What little fandom there was (and there are a few websites for it) had long been dormant.

I can count on one hand the number of people who remember this show, but somehow, it makes it all the more special to me, considering the age and obscurity of the canon material itself. You never know who's out there, and I promise - they're not all crazy!! :D

Wow, it's been that long? You were lucky that you were able to find other fans, then! I agree that sometimes smaller fandoms are better, though. I think it feels a lot more personal that way, if you see what I mean. It's like your own private fandom. XD

I know what it's like to feel like you dreamed it up, though; that happened to me with another show. Until I was able to download it (!) I was sure that it never existed because everyone I talked to didn't remember it.

I'll just have to keep looking, then :) After a while I'm sure I'll be able to find someone else who remembers it. :D
