Whatever. I don't like her these days because her reviews are dead. She got to the point where she always seemed bored, not only by the material, but about doing the review itself. There's always the excuse: "But that's just the character of the 'Nostalgia Chick!'" Yes. Yes it is. And it's that character that I don't enjoy watching. I don't really enjoy watching all of Doug's characters either.
I also dislike her because I find her "insight" ill-informed, or that at times she was actually misrepresent facts to emphasize her supposedly feminist points. It irritates me.
And I think it's hilarious that you're calling all of us sexist, but you personally find the rape-rap funny. (Aside from just not finding rape all that laughable, it's the martyr comment more than anything that makes me wonder how much of a feminist Chick really is.)

If you look at her videos, when she got into film school that's when I felt them start to decline in quality/energy. Which is kind of ironic lol.
By all means, if she wants to concentrate on school and her career that's fine, but at least stop making these half-assed, apathetic attempts at reviews.
Idk, I think I just miss the Chick with the Goggles. She was pretty awesome.

I'll say this, though--her recent storyarc is actually improving the quality. For one, between Nella and...ah, I ferget the name, but her other friend, the blond who does crazy so well? Anyway. Between the two of them, Chick probably has the best supporting cast. Those two are freaking adorable and hilarious, and always into it. But mostly, it feels like with the arc, Chick is actually addressing the problem so many people have had with her videos of late (her Dr. Sexy friend gives her a shot of some kind of happy drug that makes Chick go all cheerful and excited the way she used to).
So, I dunno, at least her videos might get fun again.
That's my thing. I really don't agree with a lot of what Chick says, especially in her "Smurfette Principle" review, but I'm totally willing to look past whether or not I personally agree with a performer (within reason) if they're actually, y'know, entertaining. I sure don't agree with everything Critic says, but whatever he does say, he says with a contagious enthusiasm, so...y'know.
You gotta have one or the other.

If NCritic's, Linkara's or Spoony's girlfriends would have had abortions everybody would have sent flowers and letters and "be strong" comments. I'm pretty sure of that.
