Re: have some tl;dr in return

That'd make a fair amount of sense. I was worried they were going for a "Templars<->Lyrium!" thing, which I thought would be out of character for a character like her, but what you're saying satisfies me just fine. I do wish we knew the deal with it though. And... why it summoned the ghost of a giant rock monster? That info might have been useful as well. (I wonder what happened to Bartrand. Guess we'll never know or something. I didn't kill him so maybe he's just in the nut house.)

Meredith was an awesome character, and it really depresses me that so few people playing it will probably ever realize that. Her VA did an awesome job, too. Plus, another strong woman never goes amiss! (And I did think she qualified.) Orsino was just boring. Plus he pulled a totally weird, out of the blue bullshit boss fight out of his ass. The jerk. (I felt silly having Fenris right there. Yep, you called this one Fenris, sorry....)

Yeah, Meredith was beautiful, and her design beautifully chosen. She looked very noble, sad and strong. Somehow, she came across as a warrior--her face was tough enough--but it also was very gentle when she was just speaking with you. And yep, going by the timeline, it must have been Act 2. Maybe there's some sort of aspect to the sword that drew it to her or her to it.... I sort of feel it's something that could have or would have been explored in a full epilogue.

As for the Orsino fight, I wanted to slap that stupid asshole. I sided with him, I was INCREDIBLY strong, everything was going great for us... and suddenly he flips out? Like, where did that come from? I thought I was going to finally have a chance to prove Fenris occasionally wrong. But I guess not! (His staff was really awesome-looking though.)

Yeah, no joke. And the thing is, since both sides end up committing such horrible transgressions, you have a hard time arguing either one has the moral high-ground. I mean, the mages did originally, but that goodwill got squandered time and time again, culminating with Anders killing someone who maybe wasn't completely innocent (it's open for debate) but sure as hell wasn't the right target. Plus, the civilian causalities resulting from something like that would be catastrophic. At least Meredith was trying to restrict the damage and the pain to the people the solution required be hurt.

As for the two final boss battles... that was super lame. Absolutely. I mean, the marketing made a big deal of "At the end, you make a CHOICE. And that's what's important." Yeah, important my ass, it didn't change shit.

Man does NOT know when to quit.

And yeah, I mean, seriously, it would be bad enough to blow up the building, but he ended up showing a BLATANT disregard for regular people's lives. Just... like all the other mages.... (Sigh.)
