The second episode does bother me, but for so many reasons. It's just weak and contrived compared to Gatiss and Moffat's episodes. Sherlock figured out that the tenant would be connected to the case because they didn't pick up their phone book from the front step? What? And everybody just happened to live and work in buildings with conveniently-placed terraces.
