Seriously, I'm not on it yet, but I think I like the whole idea of it for macros and picspam. That's groovy.
But it just kind of depresses me that a lot of people I used to follow in lj switched over to Tumblr and Twitter. It's just...sad. I mean, hell, I'm on Twitter more than lj these days, and I don't see that happening much longer because on Twitter you just feel like you're talking into a void. Which is fine if I just have, like, one little thing to say and felt like getting it out there. But there are things I'll say on Twitter than on LJ would've started an interesting and fun conversation...except that everyone's on freaking twitter now.
Mostly, I just don't get why a lot of the art folks moved to Tumblr. There's blogger or whatever and LJ and both of them are fine for posting pictures. Better, even, with lj-cuts and all (unless Tumblr has that function too?). And you can get gasp feedback!
Whatever, man, I don't even get facebook, really. I'll just be over here yelling at kids to get off my virtual lawn.
