Yeah, I'm sure I used it in the past, and honestly, probably in regards to that very pairing, but that would've been in my wee baby days of fandom. It's even worse when the statement is something like "X deserves Y because he's been through so much!" because then it has the added distaste for making "Y" the prize that "X" deserves, instead of an actual person.
