I agree with everything except the 'damn right I judge you' part, because that just seems cheap (online judging). -_- But yeah, I agree; you can be a fan of a show about kids because of how it's written etc. without being a pedophile.

The whole 'they are 13' thing still kind of weirds me out, but no one ever draws them looking like they're 13-- including the official artists for videos and shit, which the possible exception of the Make Her Pay video.

Well, okay, some people draw them looking like they're 13, but it's so rare that I don't even have time to get squicked by the underage porn, I just go 'holy shit they look their age' and am sort of impressed.

Not that drawing them 15-17 isn't also underage porn for those of us in the states, which is (of course) the entire ATLA cast.

Is it really fans of ATLA that are saying this, though? I mean... they have a 12 year old protagonist. They should be the last ones to throw stones, right?

I don't know. I just know I like my porn post-puberty, and most Homestuck porn I come across has the kids look way older than they should be, so I'm never squicked. I just wish I could see Troll sex as being even remotely human like so that I could enjoy it without going 'where are the buckets?'

Some fans aren't so big on shipping.

...But of course, a larger portion are ALL ABOUT shipping.

I'm all for calling out bullshit when it happens, but I wish more people weren't so automatically antagonistic over things others like. And when I say bullshit, I mean bullshit where we see porn where kids actually look like kids. Most of the fanwork including gen is hardly the case.
